The Oxford County 48

Here's what's going on over the next 48 hours in the region.

STUFF TO DO

Today: Sometimes, you just need someone to talk with about it. Join Canadian Mental Heath Association workers at the Tillsonburg Library from 9:30am to 10:30am to have social time, access resources, and find support in times of need or crisis.

Today: Pick - and Paint! Alex & Alyssa are your hosts for a summer evening ...or morning... at Thames River Melons on Blandford Road in Innerkip. Wander the flower garden to pick your own bouquet, then settle in for a guided watercolour painting session - inspired by your hand-picked blooms. No experience is needed! Just be ready to relax and create! It's a beginner-friendly workshop, and all levels are welcome. Perfect for a girls night, a date night, or a cozy solo outing.

Today: This evening at 6:30, Berrylicious Fruit Farm in Burgessville hosts a Date Night Experience: a chance to slow down and say of a summer evening together. As the sun sets over the farm, you'll be guided through a tasting tour of their berries at the peak of freshness before heading into the fields to pick your own bl into your reserved picnic table to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared 3 course picnic.

Tomorrow: More summer activities for little ones at Harrington Library. From 10am-11am, children can create their very own shark to take home. Stay out of the water, and come create this cool shark! (The program is suitable for children ages 5 and up)

Tomorrow: Get your creativity on at the Thamesford Library from 1:00-2:00pm with their Ocean of Creativity craft program. This week, they'll be exploring the wonders of the seashore by creating a tide pool diorama! Make sure to dress to get a little messy at this crafty program. Children 10 and under must be accompanied at the library and they ask that caregivers stay at the library during programs.

Tomorrow: Join GoodPud founders Polly and Sarah in the kitchen for the first Local Table of the year, celebrating Ontario strawberries and our native and highly underrated superfruit, the Haskap berry (AKA Honeyberry). It's happening at 39 North Street East in Tillsonburg, and features a series of dessert demonstrations designed to celebrate what's in season right now from our local producers and growers in Oxford County. Each session includes a two-hour small class cooking demonstration, a dessert to enjoy in class and one to take home, and much more.
