STUFF TO DO
Today: If you're thinking about a new job, a career change, or just need a little help getting your foot in the door, Community Employment Services will be at the Thamesford Library Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm. You can sit down one-on-one with a career consultant for help with your résumé, interview skills, training opportunities, and connecting with local employers. Appointments are required, but it's a free, confidential way to get some expert guidance on your next career move. Today: There's a free roller skate/blade evening on the Tillsonburg Memorial Arena Floor from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Public skate etiquette rules apply, and protective gear is recommended.
Today: Drop-in for non-contact ball hockey at the Tillsonburg Community Centre from 8 pm to 9 pm. It's for ages 15 and up, and all skill levels are welcome, but CSA approved helmets (with full cage), as well as gloves, stick and running shoes are necessary.
Tomorrow: It's Bring the little ones to the Plattsville Library from 9:30 am - 10:30 am for Whale of a Tale Storytime. It's an ocean-themed adventure filled with stories, songs, and a fun craft or activity to wrap things up. It's designed for children under five, and a wonderful chance for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to share some quality time while helping young imaginations dive into a love of books.
Tomorrow: From 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Lake Lisgar Waterpark, you can join an Aqua Fit aerobics class to help improve cardiovascular fitness, build strength, and improve flexibility. It's a low impact workout to help ease joint pain while moving and burning calories. The 45minute class is followed by 15 minute leisure swim. Parents/caregivers are welcome to bring their little one (aged 6mos to 3yrs) to any Aqua Fit class. Flotation seats are provided so that parents can participate and have their little one within arms' reach. Child participation is free.
Tomorrow: If you want to step it up a notch, you can try the Aqua Jog class from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm. It's a water fitness class that provides a no-impact, but an intense cardiovascular workout, to work on improving flexibility, range of motion and strength. Flotation devices are provided.
