Here's what's going on over the next 48 hours in the region.
STUFF TO DO
Today: Bring the little ones to the Plattsville Library from 9:30 am - 10:30 am for Whale of a Tale Storytime. It's an ocean-themed adventure filled with stories, songs, and a fun craft or activity to wrap things up. It's designed for children under five, and a wonderful chance for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to share some quality time while helping young imaginations dive into a love of books.
Today: From 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Lake Lisgar Waterpark, you can join an Aqua Fit aerobics class to help improve cardiovascular fitness, build strength, and improve flexibility. It's a low impact workout to help ease joint pain while moving and burning calories. The 45minute class is followed by 15 minute leisure swim. Parents/caregivers are welcome to bring their little one (aged 6mos to 3yrs) to any Aqua Fit class. Flotation seats are provided so that parents can participate and have their little one within arms' reach. Child participation is free.
Today: If you want to step it up a notch, you can try the Aqua Jog class from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm. It's a water fitness class that provides a no-impact, but an intense cardiovascular workout, to work on improving flexibility, range of motion and strength. Flotation devices are provided.
Tomorrow: Join Tillsonburg Library staff in Coronation Park at 19 Van St. from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. for their Art in the Park program! Listen to a read aloud of 'My Ocean is Blue,' followed by a bubble wrap ocean art activity. Suitable for ages 2-10. Drop-in, and bring a blanket or lawn chairs for the story time portion of the program.
Tomorrow: Join Annandale National Historic Site and the Station Arts Centre from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm for Culture After Dark! You can explore exhibitions, local history, and art in a relaxed evening atmosphere. Both locations stay open late until 7:00 PM.
Tomorrow: Enjoy live music on the patio at the Elm Hurst at 415 Harris Street from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, with a great entertainment lineup.
