Here's what's going on over the next 48 hours in the region.
STUFF TO DO
Today: From 10:15 am - 11:15 am, the Tillsonburg Community Centre holds morning Yoga. The class uses a variety of yoga poses, stretching principles and movements, combined with breathing and relaxation techniques to reduce muscle tension and stress. It's for ages 13+.
Today: Norwich Library hosts a VON Exercise Class. It's a Hybrid Standing/Seated Class from 12:15-1:15 for ages 55+ and adults with disabilities. The class is lead by a trained instructor, and you're asked to bring water and dress accordingly.
Today: If exercise in the water is more your thing, head for the shallow end of the pool for Aqua Fit. This water aerobics class improves cardiovascular fitness, builds strength and improves flexibility. It's a low impact workout for those looking to ease joint pain while moving and burning calories. A 45 minute class is followed by a 15 minute leisure swim. Parents and caregivers are welcome to bring their little one (aged 6mos to 3yrs) to any Aqua Fit class. Flotation seats are provided so that parents can participate and have their little one within arms' reach, and child participation is FREE.
Tomorrow: The Tillsonburg Community Centre Health Club at 45 Hardy Avenue is open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. — a chance to get in a workout or spend some time staying active on the weekend.
Tomorrow: The Lake Lisgar Waterpark is in its final days of the season, with the pool and waterslides open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy the heated outdoor pool, beach entry, waterslide and spray features — and bring a lawn chair if you want to settle in for a few hours. The waterpark closes for the season after Labour Day.
Tomorrow: Adults and teens 13 and up can take a dip Saturday during Adult Lane/Leisure Swim, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Three lanes are available for swimmers doing lengths, while the other half of the pool is open for leisure swimming.
