STUFF TO DO
Today: The CMHA Wellness Social Group meets from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Tillsonburg Library. Join Canadian Mental Health Association workers for social time, access to resources, and support when you need it.
Today: Career Corner happens at the Tillsonburg Library from 10 am to 1 pm. Employment Solutions offers one-on-one employment support to help with job searching, connecting with employers, or making the transition from high school to the workforce.
Today: Tillsonburg Library has Anime Art Night for Teens from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Teens ages 13 to 18 can decorate canvas book totes with paint pens and Cricut vinyl outlines of their favourite anime characters. Registration is required. Call 519-842-5571.
Tomorrow: At the Norwich Library, there is a VON exercise class for adults 55 and over, and adults with disabilities. The hybrid standing and seated class takes place from 12:15 to 1:15. A trained instructor lead the class. Bring water and dress appropriately for exercise. To register, call 1-888-866-7518. For more information before registering, you can call 519-539-1231.
Tomorrow: Tillsonburg Community Centre has Yoga from 10:15 am to 11:15 am for ages 13 and up. This class combines yoga poses, stretching, movement, breathing and relaxation techniques to help reduce muscle tension and stress.
Tomorrow: Mom’s on the Move happens from 2pm to 3pm at Ducky Dennis Park in Burgessville. An outdoor fitness class for moms on the move, running Fridays through October 16. Coach Alysia from FCA Fitness leads a mix of strength, movement, flexibility, walking and talking. Bring yourself, your stroller, baby, light hand weights and a water bottle, and wear your runners. Participants should watch their email on the day of the program for weather-related changes or cancellation. Still space available, but you need to register here.
