The Town of Tillsonburg has announced the newest members of its Sports Hall of Fame.
The class of 2026 will be in the individual athlete category triplet sisters Judy, Karen and Christine Liwanpo in tennis. Remy Donaldson, whose athletic achievements span swimming, tennis, volleyball, and basketball, and the Senior Men’s Tillsonburg Legion Track & Field Club Cross Country Running Team.
Julie Dawley, Recreation Programs & Services Manager says the purpose for the Hall is simple.
Also, Steve Garnham, will be honoured in the builder category for his long-standing dedication to hockey officiating and hometown boy Colin Campbell, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Recognition award.
She says the induction ceremony will happen Thursday.
Colin Campbell, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Recognition award. Campbell built an impressive career in the NHL as a player, coach, and executive. He later served for more than 25 years as the league’s Senior Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2024.
Judy Liwanpo, Karen Liwanpo, and Christine Liwanpo, accomplished tennis players earned international recognition after capturing a bronze medal at the 2003 Indian Ocean Island Games.

The Senior Men’s Tillsonburg Legion Track & Field Club Cross Country Running Team claimed both the Ontario and Canadian Senior Men’s Cross Country team championships in 1985. Team members included Ron Becht, Claus Rinne, Rick Cornelissen, Adrian Shorter, Tim Wood, Steve Connor, and Mike King, with Dave Mills serving as coach.
Steve Garnham, will be honoured in the builder category for his long-standing dedication to hockey officiating and player development in Tillsonburg and the surrounding region. Garnham spent nearly 20 years as Referee in Chief for both Tillsonburg Minor Hockey and the Southern Counties Minor Hockey Association.
