Volunteer Appreciation Day: Ron and Judith Gillatt

Ron and Judith's decades of volunteering are inspiring.

Meet Oxford County volunteer power couple Ron and Judith Gillatt. They each have 60 years of experience giving back to their communities and show no sign of stopping.

From Firefighting, paramedicine, emergency field hospital work during Gulf War 1, masonic charities, the Canadian Red Cross, the Woodstock Covid Clinic and today at Woodstock General Hospital - Ron's six decades as a volunteer are inspiring.

The same it true of his wife Judith.  Her volunteer trajectory isn't identical to Ron's but started early in life in the UK to include cycling proficiency for young people - the Brownies organization for young girls - care for seniors - paramedicine - A volunteer at Woodstock General Hospital and past president of the Oxford chapter of the Probus Club of Western Ottawa which brings noted local public speakers and those who are semi-retired or retired together, to learn from their experiences.

The Gillatts talked with My Broadcasting Corporation's John Brenner for today's Volunteer Appreciation Day.
