A new four-legged listener joins the 101.3 GIANT FM family
A 101.3 GIANT FM listener has taken his love for the station to a paws-itively new level, by naming his new puppy after Karl the Intern.
Alexander Meadows runs Alex Amplified Audio Visual Services from his family’s Tavistock-area farm. He discovered 101.3 GIANT FM about a year ago, while contractors were working at the property:
Alex grew up listening to AC/DC, Whitesnake and the Headstones, and says he's more of a metal guy himself, with Three Days Grace and I Prevail among his favourites. But, he says he enjoys pretty much everything played on 101.3 GIANT FM, and knows almost every song. Three weeks ago, the Meadows family welcomed a Great Pyrenees-Mastiff puppy. While the family was discussing possible names during a drive, Karl the Intern came over the radio.
That settled it:
The furry Karl is already about 30 pounds, but could eventually weigh around 150.
And apparently, the similarities between the two Karls don't stop there:
So, while 101.3 GIANT FM's Karl works from his shed, Tavistock's newest Karl will be listening from his own shed, complete with subwoofers.
