Food bank coordinator Samantha Hamilton thanked residents, volunteers, staff, and customers, while noting donations are still needed to help local families facing food insecurity.
As Oxford Today reported to you earlier this week, the community of Tillsonburg stepped it up when it came to the 2026 edition of the Tim Horton's Smile Cookie Campaign raising a total of $77,581 for the Helping Hand Food Bank.
We caught up with Samantha Hamilton Coordinator at the Food Bank, who was so appreciative of the results.
The fundraising campaign drew strong support from residents, whose generosity and enthusiasm turned sweet treats into meaningful support for families in need.
Organizers say the success of the event would not have been possible without the dedication of volunteers, loyal guests, and the restaurant’s hardworking staff.
As far as the status of the food bank, Hamilton says they could always use the donations.
The funds raised will go directly to the Helping Hand Food Bank in Tillsonburg to support local individuals and families facing food insecurity. We will have comments from Tim Hortons later this week.
