Tim Hortons Oxford Street, Simcoe Street, and Town Centre locations are joining Classic Rock 101.3 Giant FM and Tillsonburg's New Country 107.3 FM to work together to support Tillsonburg's Helping Hand Food Bank
Back-to-school season brings plenty of extra expenses for families. For some, putting enough food on the table can be an added challenge. That’s why Thursday sees a new community effort in Tillsonburg, as our local radio stations, Tim Hortons, and community partners come together for a day-long food drive supporting the Tillsonburg Helping Hand Food Bank.
General Manager at Tillsonburg Radio, Alan Duthie, says they’re ready to get things rolling.
And this isn't a single drop-off location or a quick collection. Organizers will have volunteers at three Tillsonburg grocery stores throughout the day.
You can bring non-perishable food, or make a monetary donation at Zehrs, Sobeys or No Frills, with everything going to the Tillsonburg Helping Hand Food Bank. Duthie says the need is real, and that's where the community can make a difference.
It all adds up, and Duthie says even a small contribution can have an impact.
The ALL-HANDS-ON-DECK Food Drive takes place today (Thursday, August 20th), from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., at the three participating Tillsonburg grocery stores: Zehrs, Sobeys and No Frills.
Bring along whatever you can, and help support your neighbours through the Tillsonburg Helping Hand Food Bank.
