The City of Woodstock is bringing in Kim Mitchell as part of their Canada Day festivities at Southside Park. Mitchell will take the main stage at 8 pm, followed by fireworks to end the night.

Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell is making his way to Oxford County this summer, as he headlines a group of artists for Canada Day celebrations in Woodstock at Southside Park.

Mitchell, a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, has sold upwards of 1.5 million records in Canada and earned 17 Juno nominations. The City of Woodstock is also celebrating their 125th anniversary on Canada Day and this could be the best one yet.

Mitchell is known for catchy songs like Patio Lanterns, Go For Soda, and Rock N Roll Duty.

“We are thrilled to welcome such a legendary Canadian artist to Woodstock to help celebrate the City’s 125th anniversary. This year’s Canada Day will be our most significant yet, as we mark this major milestone for our community."

That was Kristen Broadhagen, Manager of Special Events for the City of Woodstock.

The event will be on from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., and Mitchell will be on the main stage at 8 p.m.

Fireworks will follow Mitchell to close out the festivities.
