What's Good in Tillsonburg? TurtleFest 2026 could be the best one yet

TurtleFest returns June 19th and 20th with expanded food, vendors, and family activities, including the Tillsonburg Farmers Market. Events run Friday through Saturday across downtown locations like the Annandale National Historic Site.

Preparations are underway for the 13th annual TurtleFest, where downtown Tillsonburg will be transformed for the celebration.

"The Station Arts Centre and Annadale National Historical Site have partnered with us every year. This year we are pleased to have the Tillsonburg Farmer’s Market become part of the Saturday event,“ TurtleFest Chair Mark Renaud says.

The Farmers Market will be running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday on Bridge Street in the Station Arts Centre and plans are in motion for their to be food trucks that offer breakfast to anyone attending as well.

Activities will still take place on Broadway Street from noon until 7 p.m. Regular vendors will be on hand, plus pop up vendors, a bouncy castle, horse and buggy rides for purchase and live music.

“Feedback from last year’s TurtleFest attendees said that there was not enough tables on Brock Street to sit and eat your food", Renaud said. “By moving to the mall parking lot we have room for about 16 food trucks with seating and tables for up to 200 plus guests”.

Festivities begin on Friday with a 3 p.m. ribbon cutting at the newly named Tillson Family Parkette, followed by the official opening ceremony at The Station Arts Centre at 4 p.m. Evening events at Annandale National Historic Site include games, food trucks and an outdoor screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3.

Family programming continues on Saturday at Annandale with games, and live turtle exhibits from Scales Nature Park.

Additional event and performer details will be announced in the coming weeks.

TurtleFest is set for Friday, June 19th and Saturday, June 20th.
