United Way Oxford raised $1,315,358 in its 2025 campaign, supporting programs like food security, youth mentorship, employment help, and housing. The campaign highlighted strong community involvement and recognized local businesses, organizations, and individuals for their contributions.

United Way Oxford is celebrating another successful year of fundraising, as they accumulated a total of $1,315,358.

Executive Director Kelly Gillson was beaming with pride when asked about it on the evening of March 26th.

“United Way Oxford is privileged to serve a community that cares so deeply for its neighbours, friends, co-workers, and family. This campaign is such a perfect example of how local love can result in positive action,” she said.

“From immediate supports for those dealing with food insecurity, to mentoring and opportunity programs for youth, assistance for those seeking employment, social connections and respite for those dealing with dementia, or transitional housing at our Light Houses, the campaign will fund vital programs and services to help our community,” she added.

The theme of the celebration this year is community and belonging and the event also saw a special presentation on social connection and its impact on health by Rebecca Wallace, Public Health Nurse, Infectious Disease from Southwestern Public Health.
