Oxford OPP say that on Saturday, August 15th, at approximately 3:30 in the morning, officers were conducting proactive patrols in the Town of Tillsonburg when they suspected a driver was impaired.
As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old Tillsonburg resident was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 or over.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on September 29th.
Police are reminding the public that if you suspect an impaired driver, call 9-1-1 immediately.
