Some road closures to start the week of September 14th.
Oxford County is continuing reconstruction work on Oxford Road 2, or Dundas Street. The next phase will close the intersection with Oxford Road 12, also known as Mill Street and Oxford Street, for about four weeks. The closure is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of September 14th. There will be no access through the intersection, with traffic directed to detours. The main route uses Oxford Roads 30, 17 and 59, while a secondary route uses Oxford Road 9, Main Street and Oxford Road 59. The project is expected to finish in November.
Oxford County says construction at Oxford Road 9 and Oxford Road 10 is expected to begin the week of September 14. The intersection will remain open to north and southbound traffic, but east and westbound traffic will need to detour using Ingersoll Street South, Thomas Street and Whiting Street. The existing Oxford Road 9 detour remains in place.
