All items purchased in the auction support free mentoring programs that help more than 700 children and youth across Oxford County.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County has officially launched its annual Bid for Kids’ Sake Online Auction, giving residents the opportunity to support local mentoring programs while bidding on a wide variety of prizes.
The fundraiser features more than 100 items, including gift certificates, artwork, themed gift baskets, excursions, experiences, Blue Jays tickets, concert tickets, food packages and other unique offerings. Organizers say the auction also provides plenty of ideas for Father’s Day, graduation gifts, or personal treats.
The online platform allows participants to place automatic maximum bids, enabling the system to continue bidding on their behalf if they are outbid, with the option to adjust bid limits at any time.
Funds raised through the auction will remain in Oxford County and help Big Brothers Big Sisters continue delivering free mentoring programs to nearly 700 children and youth each year. The organization says its programs help young people build confidence, strengthen resilience and develop a greater sense of belonging through professionally supported mentoring relationships.
The Bid for Kids’ Sake Online Auction opened on Monday and runs until 4 p.m. this Friday. Bidding takes place online through the event’s dedicated auction, which can be found here.
