Prime Minister Mark Carney is travelling to France and Ireland before attending the 2026 G7 Leaders' Summit, where he will meet world leaders including Donald Trump. The summit is expected to focus heavily on rising tensions involving Iran, as well as trade, security, and other global challenges.
Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to join world leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, for their first meeting since the start of the U.S.-Israeli offensive in Iran.
Carney will attend the G7 leaders' summit in Évian-les-Bains, France, which starts Monday.
It's part of a larger trip that will also see him meeting leaders in France and Ireland.
He leaves for Europe tonight.
