Canadian National Railway says vegetation management work will take place along rail corridors in and around Tillsonburg between April and October 2026.
The company says the work is part of routine safety and regulatory requirements aimed at maintaining clear sightlines and reducing risks near tracks and railway infrastructure.
CN says a combination of mechanical methods, such as mowing and brush cutting, will be used across most areas. In safety-critical zones, including near tracks and signal equipment, targeted chemical applications may also be used with specialized equipment to limit environmental impact.
The work will be carried out by qualified contractors following applicable environmental and safety regulations.
Residents with concerns or requests related to vegetation along CN property are encouraged to submit them by June 1 through CN’s website or by email, with later requests considered for the 2027 program.
