Police are asking for help locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
The Ontario Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is asking for the public's help locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Mason Jenkins, 49, walked away from Collins Bay Institution in Kingston on September 24 while serving a life sentence for first-degree murder and possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Jenkins is described as 5-foot-9 and 255 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He is currently shaved bald.
The R.O.P.E. Squad says Jenkins is known to frequent Kingston, Kitchener and Chatham.
Anyone who has contact with Jenkins or information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad at 416-808-5900, or toll-free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE).
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
Anyone who sees Jenkins should not approach him and should call 911.
