Bridge work to close Oxford Road 19 between Church and Bullock streets on Sept. 1
The Oxford Road 19 bridge in Otterville will be closed in both directions for a full day on September 1st as work continues on the bridge rehabilitation project.
The closure will affect the section of Oxford Road 19 between Church Street and Bullock Street. Traffic will not be able to cross the bridge during the closure.
The closure is required to allow crews to carry out Stage 2 girder removal. It is the third of four planned one-day closures supporting the removal and installation of bridge girders during the rehabilitation project.
Drivers will be required to follow the signed detour using Dover Street, Cornell Road and Middletown Line.
Bridge reconstruction began in May and is currently expected to be completed in December 2026.
Oxford County notes that the construction schedule is weather dependent and could change based on site conditions, contractor availability and other factors.
