The registration deadline is approaching for the Thames Valley District School Board's free High School, Here I Come! program, designed to prepare incoming students for the realities of secondary school life.
The program will be delivered on-site over two days at all TVDSB secondary schools. Students will be assigned to one of two session: Monday, August 17th - Tuesday August 18th, or Wednesday, August 19th - Thursday, August 20th.
Participants will explore study strategies, time management, literacy and numeracy learning skills, and gain insight into the social and emotional transition to high school. The program also encourages involvement in extracurricular activities as a way to meet new people and build school spirit.
