Ingersoll resident facing multiple charges following intimate-partner-violence investigation

Oxford O-P-P say officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday, August 26th, at a home and a vehicle in Ingersoll after receiving a complaint from a resident.

A 38-year-old Ingersoll resident has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

Criminal harassment
Breach of firearms regulation — store firearm or restricted weapon — two counts
Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and was subsequently released with conditions.

Police say victims of intimate partner violence are not alone and support is available. Anyone in immediate danger should call 911.

The accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
