Ingersoll residents voting by mail in the 2026 municipal election can expect their vote-by-mail packages to arrive soon.
The Town of Ingersoll says the packages were officially deposited with Canada Post on Thursday, October 1.
There is still ample time for electors to receive, complete and return their ballots before voting closes on Monday, October 26 at 8 p.m.
Residents returning their completed ballot by mail are advised to deposit their envelope in a Canada Post mailbox by October 15 to guarantee delivery.
Completed vote-by-mail packages can also be returned directly to Town Hall on the second floor at 130 Oxford Street, or placed in the Town's secure drop box. The drop box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until 8 p.m. on October 26.
The Town is also holding a special evening session on Wednesday, October 7, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall lobby.
Staff from the Clerk's Department will be available to help residents check whether they are registered to vote, update or confirm their voter information, and receive a ballot directly if they are eligible.
Residents attending should bring valid identification showing both their name and residential address.
Questions about the voters' list or the vote-by-mail process can be directed to the Clerk's Department at clerks@ingersoll.ca or 519-485-0120. The Town's municipal office is located at 130 Oxford Street, second floor.
