Katherine Englander is running for Tillsonburg Town Council in the upcoming municipal election, saying she will focus on fiscal responsibility, local economic growth, and greater transparency. Englander, a community leader and business professional, has been active in local service, including roles with the Town of Tillsonburg Culture Commission and the town’s Canada Day Committee. She also previously served on the board of the Better Business Bureau of Southwestern Ontario, including two years as board chair.

Professionally, she is a founder of a human resources consulting firm and a professor at Fanshawe College. She holds a degree from Western University.

In a statement, Englander said she is running to bring “practical leadership” and ensure council decisions reflect community priorities.

Her campaign platform emphasizes responsible development, support for local businesses, accountable governance, and greater community engagement. A statement from the Better Business Bureau of Southwestern Ontario described her as a “respected and trusted leader” during her tenure on its board.
