A toddler from the Township of Blandford-Blenheim was located safe after being reported missing during a major storm last week in Oxford County.
According to Oxford OPP, the incident happened Wednesday, September 2, 2026. At approximately 1 p.m., the toddler was outside playing with family when they went missing. A prompt call was made to the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, and multiple resources were quickly deployed to assist with the search.
The OPP West Region Emergency Response Unit, including Canine, took part in the search, along with London Search and Rescue and members of Oxford OPP. Search efforts continued for several hours despite adverse weather conditions. At approximately 9 p.m., the toddler was located safe.
Oxford OPP is thanking everyone who assisted with the search and no injuries were reported.
The OPP says no further details will be released and the investigation is complete.
