A flagpole has been cut down, and a Pride flag has been stolen in the Town of Ingersoll.
On July 5th, OPP was notified of mischief to a flagpole and theft of a Pride flag at a Public School in Ingersoll. At approximately 9:55 p.m., on Saturday July 4th, four unknown suspects went to the school on Innes Street in Ingersoll. The suspects are being described as four, young, white males, wearing T-shirts and face coverings. One individual is alleged to have been carrying a battery-operated hand saw, and another individual is alleged to have fled the scene at approximately 10:05 p.m. The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking that anyone with information about this investigation, including video surveillance in or around the area, to contact the Oxford OPP or Crime Stoppers.
