Museum London celebrated the next generation of arts professionals and recognized longtime volunteers during its 2026 Scholarship and Service Awards event on May 7.
The private ceremony featured two scholarships created in memory of former Museum London team members Steve Mavers and Melanie Townsend. The awards support students connected to Western University who are pursuing careers in curatorial studies and arts education.
Julie Bevan, Executive Director at Museum London, said volunteers continue to play a key role in the organization’s success and community impact. She added that volunteering is more than support, calling it a collaboration that helps shape how the museum connects with the community.
The 2026 Melanie A. Townsend Scholarship in Museum and Curatorial Studies was awarded to Nicole Iun. The recent Western University graduate plans to begin a Master’s degree in the History of Art this fall at the Courtauld Institute of Art.
The 2026 Steve Mavers Scholarship in Arts Education went to Grace Tiffany, an art historian and future educator currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education at Western.
Museum London also recognized volunteers Enid Sigurjonsson, Denise Love, and Faith Hildreth for their service and dedication.
