“Not goodbye, just a reset”: Good For The Soll Festival Cancelled for 2026

The team was unable to secure enough early commitments from volunteers, sponsors, and production partners to move forward responsibly.

A popular local music festival will not return this year after organizers announced over the weekend that Good For The Soll in Ingersoll has been cancelled for 2026.

In a message shared with the community, founder Jay Panaseiko said the decision came after months of planning and discussion. He explained that the team was unable to secure enough early commitments from volunteers, sponsors, and production partners to move forward responsibly.

The festival, which ran successfully in 2024 and 2025, has become known for bringing the community together through music, local vendors, and shared experiences under the stars.

Organizers said there are many moving parts involved in planning an event of that size, including booking crews, securing equipment, and confirming financial support well in advance. Without those pieces in place early, Panaseiko said moving ahead could put workers, vendors, and partners at risk.

The current economic climate was also noted as a factor, with businesses being more cautious about sponsorship commitments.

Despite the cancellation, organizers say the festival is not over for good. Instead, they describe the decision as “not goodbye, just a reset”, with plans to return in 2027 in a stronger and more sustainable format.
