The Ontario Provincial Police Norfolk County Detachment, Norfolk County Fire Department and Paramedic Services were called to a residence on Orchard Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. Monday, September 21.
Firefighters entered the home and located a 50-year-old individual. Despite efforts by emergency responders, the person was later pronounced dead at hospital.
The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire in cooperation with the Office of the Fire Marshal and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
