Opposition parties, though, say the announcement comes as the government is already facing questions about its own spending.
The province has announced efficiency reviews of eight organizations, including the LCBO, Metrolinx, Legal Aid Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
Treasury Board President Peter Bethlenfalvy says the reviews are meant to keep spending under control while protecting frontline services.
