Oxford County Council will receive an update tomorrow on community feedback surrounding the future Homelessness Support Centre.
Community partners identified concerns including a lack of secure storage, barriers for youth and seniors, and limited access to showers and laundry.
The public's top concerns included safety, neighbourhood impacts, how the centre will operate, bed capacity, eligibility, costs and accountability.
People with lived experience highlighted the importance of 24-hour access, being able to leave and return throughout the day, housing support and showers.
The centre is expected to open in spring 2028.
