Oxford County Paramedic Services is bringing forward its annual response time performance plan, with the report showing the county met its response time targets in 2025 and continues to perform in line with many other municipalities across Ontario.
Oxford paramedics responded to more than 23,000 emergency calls throughout 2025.
Council will also hear about upcoming changes to how medical emergency calls are prioritized and dispatched. A new Medical Priority Dispatch System, known as MPDS, is scheduled to launch across the London Central Ambulance Communications Centre area on October 14.
The internationally recognized system will be used specifically for 911 medical emergencies and will not apply to police or fire calls.
The change will also mean updates to Oxford County's medical tiered response agreements with local fire services. Under the system, fire departments may respond to certain medical emergencies while paramedics are on their way.
