Oxford County Library is seeking approval to enter into an agreement with South-West Oxford Township that would allow the Mount Elgin library branch to move into the Township’s new Mount Elgin Community Hub.
The proposal comes as Mount Elgin’s growing population creates increasing demand for library services, programming, technology access and community space.
The proposed location would provide a modern library alongside municipal and childcare services, helping strengthen connections within the community and improving access to public services.
The new space would also feature barrier-free design, improving accessibility for seniors, people with disabilities and families with young children.
County Council is expected to consider the proposal during its meeting today, August 12th.
