The project will see the full replacement of the Oxford Road 59 bridge superstructure.
Oxford County is inviting residents to learn more about upcoming bridge rehabilitation work in Norwich.
A public information meeting is scheduled for April 16th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Norwich Community Centre.
The project will see the full replacement of the Oxford Road 59 bridge superstructure, including the deck and girders. Construction is expected to begin in early May and continue through October 2026.
The work will require a full closure of the bridge to vehicles and pedestrians, with sections of Oxford Road 59 also closed to through traffic. Local access will be maintained for residents, businesses and emergency services, with detour routes in place for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
Officials say the meeting will give residents an opportunity to review plans and speak with project staff.
