Drivers in Otterville should take note of a change to the schedule for the Oxford Road 19 bridge closure.
Oxford County says the bridge between Church Street and Bullock Street will now be closed in both directions on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
The one-day closure was originally scheduled for September 1st. The closure is required to facilitate Stage 2 girder removal as part of the ongoing bridge rehabilitation project.
Traffic will not be able to cross the bridge during the closure. Drivers will be required to follow the signed detour using Dover Street, Cornell Road and Middletown Line.
Bridge reconstruction began in May and is expected to be completed in December 2026.
Oxford County notes that construction schedules are weather dependent and may change based on site conditions, contractor availability and other factors.
