Residents will soon have an opportunity to help shape the future of sports and recreation facilities in Tillsonburg.
The Town is inviting the public to attend a series of Public Information Centres to review conceptual plans for a proposed Sportsfield Complex at the Mall Road site and future possibilities for the Annandale Ball Diamonds.
Town officials say the project is aimed at exploring ways to enhance sportsfield capacity and ensure the long-term use of the municipal properties as recreation needs continue to evolve. No decisions have been made, and the concepts are intended to begin a community conversation. Feedback gathered during the consultation process will help inform future recommendations to Council.
Each Public Information Centre will begin with a brief presentation outlining the project, followed by an open-house session where residents can review conceptual plans, speak with Town staff and project representatives, ask questions, and provide feedback.
The first Public Information Centre will be held on Thursday, July 23, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Marwood Lounge at the Tillsonburg Community Centre.
Additional sessions are scheduled for Thursday, August 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Wednesday, September 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Locations for those meetings will be announced at a later date.
Residents who are unable to attend the first session will have the opportunity to participate at one of the later meetings or share their thoughts through an online community survey.
