Several vehicles were entered overnight in Tavistock, with wallets and identification among the items reported stolen.
The Oxford OPP says the thefts happened between about 1 and 5 Wednesday morning on Halliday Drive, Bender Street and Queen Street.
The vehicles were unlocked. In one case, keys had been left inside and an attempt was made to steal the vehicle, but it became stuck between other vehicles.
Two suspects were seen in the area wearing black pants, black hoodies and partial face coverings.
The OPP is reminding residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables, noting that these types of thefts can often be prevented by taking those simple steps.
