Southwestern Public Health is moving ahead with plans to consolidate its Woodstock operations into a single location, a move intended to improve efficiency and make services easier for residents to access.
The new location is expected to be 712 Peel Street in Woodstock, where renovations are planned to accommodate the health unit's operations.
The project will bring together services currently operating out of multiple Woodstock locations.
The consolidation is designed to address challenges associated with operating from several different buildings, including accessibility, workspace limitations, and the coordination of services.
The planned renovations involve approximately 20,000 square feet of space at 712 Peel Street. The building is currently occupied by the Children's Aid Society of Oxford County, with Southwestern Public Health planning to become a tenant.
