Free well water testing available.
Southwestern Public Health is reminding residents across Oxford County to stay on top of their well water testing this spring.
The health unit says changing seasonal conditions like snowmelt, heavy rain, and potential flooding can impact water quality, making regular testing especially important this time of year.
Health officials recommend testing private well water at least three times annually to ensure it remains safe for drinking.
Residents can pick up testing bottles at various locations throughout the region and return samples for analysis. The service is free for households using private wells and screens for E. coli and other harmful bacteria.
More information, including pickup and drop-off locations, is available through Southwestern Public Health.
