Operation Impact ran over the four-day Thanksgiving weekend, targeting the leading behaviours that contribute to deaths, injuries and property damage on Ontario roads, including speeding, distracted and impaired driving, failure to wear a seatbelt and driver fatigue.
The campaign is led by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police in support of Canada's Road Safety Strategy.
OPP West Region command staff thanked the majority of drivers who chose to drive safely over the holiday weekend.
