Residents in Tillsonburg are being encouraged to give their pumpkins, decorative squash and gourds a second life through The Great Pumpkin Rescue.
From now through Saturday, November 7th, residents can drop off their unwanted pumpkins, squash and gourds at the collection bin in the Yard Waste area of the Tillsonburg Transfer Station, located at 50 Newell Road.
Rather than heading to the landfill, collected items will be repurposed into community meals and feed for local livestock, helping reduce waste and support the community.
Donations must be free of paint, rot, plastic, metal and wax.
Organizers are encouraging residents to take part and help make this year's Great Pumpkin Rescue a success.
