The first incident occurred Saturday, April 25, at approximately 9 p.m., when officers conducted a traffic stop on King Street West in Ingersoll.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old of Ingersoll was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. They were released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on June 2.
The second arrest took place Sunday, April 26, at approximately 1:15 a.m., after Oxford OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 59 in Norwich Township. A Fifty-eight-year-old of Burgessville has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit. They were released from custody and is also scheduled to appear in Woodstock court on June 2.
Later that day, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Dodge Line in South-West Oxford Township. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, a 25-year-old of Ingersoll was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operation while impaired, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit. They were released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on June 2.
Oxford OPP is reminding motorists that no amount of alcohol or drugs is safe when driving and is urging everyone to do their part to keep the county's roads safe by driving sober.
