A Tillsonburg man faces multiple charges following his arrest and has since been released from custody. He is expected to appear in a Woodstock court in early June.
On April 3rd, officers with the Ontario Provincial Police were conducting a R.I.D.E. checkpoint at Lisgar Avenue and 5th Street in Tillsonburg when a driver attempted to avoid the stop.
Police quickly located the vehicle, and a 49-year-old Tillsonburg man was arrested and charged with multiple offences. He was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Woodstock court in early June.
R.I.D.E. checkpoints are used to detect impaired drivers, and attempting to evade one often results in further charges.
