Town officials say the goal is to make by-laws more accessible while encouraging residents to use public spaces safely, respectfully and in line with local regulations.
The Town of Tillsonburg is launching a new public education campaign aimed at helping residents better understand local by-laws and how they apply to everyday life.
The new initiative, called By-Law Briefs, will provide short, easy-to-understand reminders throughout the year covering a range of municipal rules and shared-space etiquette.
Town officials say the goal is to make by-laws more accessible while encouraging residents to use public spaces safely, respectfully and in line with local regulations.
The first edition of the series will focus on parks, timed to coincide with warmer weather and increased use of outdoor spaces during the spring and summer.
The weekly posts will highlight key reminders from Tillsonburg’s Parks By-Law, including rules around pets and leash requirements, pathway etiquette, waste disposal, fires and fireworks, event permits and protecting natural areas.
Officials say each post is intended to offer practical guidance on everyday park use while increasing awareness of the rules designed to keep parks safe and enjoyable for everyone.
The town says the campaign is also intended to support responsible park use and help residents better navigate shared outdoor spaces.
The By-Law Briefs series will be shared weekly on the Town of Tillsonburg’s Facebook page using the hashtag #ByLawBriefs.
Town officials say more topics and seasonal reminders will be introduced as the campaign continues throughout the year.
