The Tillsonburg Legion's annual Poppy Campaign is set to begin October 24th, raising funds to support local veterans and other veteran-related initiatives in the community.
Don Burton, Poppy Campaign chairman for Royal Canadian Legion Branch 153, says the campaign will run until November 10th.
The Poppy Campaign is an annual tradition that helps Canadians remember and honour the sacrifices made by veterans and those who continue to serve, and Burton says the local community has been wonderful.
Any donations are accepted. Local businesses interested in hosting a poppy donation box are encouraged to contact the Tillsonburg Legion at 519-842-5281.
