Tillsonburg Mayor Deb Gilvesy has filed nomination papers to seek re-election in October’s municipal election after serving seven and a half years on council, including as mayor. She says she is grateful for residents’ support and will share her priorities and reasons for running again in the coming weeks.
Tillsonburg Mayor Deb Gilvesy has officially filed nomination papers to seek re-election in the upcoming municipal election this October.
Gilvesy has served the community for the past seven and a half years—first as a councillor and later as mayor—saying it has been an “absolute privilege and honour” to represent Tillsonburg residents.
She also extended thanks to those who supported her nomination, noting that the signatures and encouragement from residents are greatly appreciated.
Gilvesy says she will be sharing more information in the coming weeks about her priorities for the next term, as well as why she has chosen to seek re-election.
The municipal election takes place on October 26th, 2026.
