Tillsonburg Sports Hall of Fame announces 2026 inductees

Established in 2003, the Hall of Fame honours residents and community contributors who have made outstanding achievements in sport as athletes, teams, coaches, and builders.

The Town of Tillsonburg will celebrate local athletic excellence at the 2026 Tillsonburg Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Thursday, May 21 at the Tillsonburg Community Centre.

Established in 2003, the Hall of Fame honours residents and community contributors who have made outstanding achievements in sport as athletes, teams, coaches, and builders.

Among this year’s inductees are tennis standouts Judy, Karen, and Christine Liwanpo. The Glendale High School graduates dominated local and regional competition in the 1990s, earning 11 WOSSA gold medals and advancing to Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations championships. The sisters later received U.S. tennis scholarships and won bronze at the 2003 Indian Ocean Island Games.

Multi-sport athlete Remy Donaldson is also being honoured for success in swimming, tennis, volleyball, and basketball. He later played university basketball at the University of Waterloo and competed at the national level.

The 1985 Senior Men’s Tillsonburg Legion Track & Field Club cross country team will be inducted after winning both Ontario and Canadian championships.

Steve Garnham enters as a Builder for decades of leadership in minor hockey officiating.

Colin Campbell will receive Lifetime Achievement recognition following his 2024 induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
