Tillsonburg to Send Summer Out With Music, Games and Fireworks

The Canada Day fireworks were cut short because of a technical malfunction, so the Town created a full evening of entertainment.

If the Canada Day fireworks left you wanting a little more, Tillsonburg is giving you another chance.

The Town is inviting residents to Memorial Park on Sunday, September 6th for a Summer Send-Off Spectacular, turning an unexpected Canada Day disappointment into another opportunity for the community to get together.

The Canada Day fireworks were cut short because of a technical malfunction. Rather than let that be the final word, the Town has created a full evening of entertainment to help send summer out on a high note.

The free event runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., with family karaoke kicking things off from 5:00 to 7:00 and backyard games running until 8:00.

Live music begins at 7:00, with Chase Beres performing from 7:00 to 7:30, followed by Kickin’ Kountry from 7:30 to 9:00.

And, of course, there will be another chance to see the fireworks at dusk.

Several food trucks will also be on site, including The Copper Mug's food truck. The Copper Mug is also sponsoring the evening's live entertainment and karaoke.

Admission is free, and residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for an evening of music, games, food and fireworks with family, friends and neighbours.
