United Way Oxford has named Amanda Kreiger as its next Executive Director, effective October, following the retirement of longtime leader Kelly Gilson in September after 23 years. Kreiger, a decade-long staff member, will work through a transition period and says she is honoured to continue leading the organization’s community-focused work.

United Way Oxford has announced that Amanda Kreiger will become its next Executive Director, effective October, following the planned retirement of current Executive Director Kelly Gilson.

The announcement was made by Board President Erica Unger on behalf of the Board of Directors, who unanimously approved Kreiger’s appointment following a succession planning process.

Kreiger has been with United Way Oxford for more than a decade, where she has worked closely with community partners, donors, volunteers, and funded agencies. The Board said her experience, community relationships, and long-standing commitment to Oxford County made her well suited for the role.

“Amanda has been a valued member of the United Way Oxford team for more than a decade, and we have every confidence in her ability to lead our organization into its next chapter,” said Unger.

Kreiger will work alongside Gilson over the coming months to support a smooth transition ahead of Gilson’s retirement in September after 23 years of service.

Kreiger said she is honoured to take on the role and looks forward to continuing to build on the organization’s work in the community.
