Woodingford Lodge is inviting residents’ families, community partners, local media and local dignitaries to an open house as part of Long-Term Care Community Engagement Day.
The event will take place today from 10 a.m. to noon at Woodingford Lodge, located at 300 Juliana Drive in Woodstock.
Guests will have an opportunity to meet residents, team members and volunteers, tour the facility and learn more about daily life in long-term care. Information will also be available about programs offered to current residents and what individuals and families can expect when considering a move into long-term care.
Long-Term Care Community Engagement Day is recognized across Ontario, with long-term care homes opening their doors to showcase the important role they play in their communities. The event encourages conversations about how residents, families, staff, volunteers and community partners can work together to support quality of life in long-term care.
Spearheaded by the Ontario Long Term Care Association, the annual event highlights the importance of community, connection and care.
Woodingford Lodge says it looks forward to welcoming members of council, MPs, MPPs and local media on September 18 and showcasing the people, programs and partnerships that make the facility an important part of Oxford County’s long-term care community.
